Who's innigs is crusial Gambhir's or Youvraj's?

Yesterday after the match I had a fight with mom, for this question. Let me put the same to you guys.
Her view: Youvraj's aggressive 41 made the difference. If he did not hit those four six, India would have lost. At last we won the match with 25 runs.

Counter view: Imagine if Gambhir tried to hit the same and we lost wickets say in 10th over. India would not have survived the quality fielding at the spin bowling of Bangladesh in middle overs of T20. Gambhir saved the wickets which enabled batsman to come next to score runs.

Its important to survive in bad times, Am I right?
